Hosting parties is so much fun and I look forward to each and every one of them. One of the ones that is so much fun to do is 16^th birthday parties. It’s a time in a someone’s life when they are changing from being a child to that more responsible person and it’s a wonderful thing to watch. It is one of my favorites to host so I do have many different 16^th birthday party ideas.

Quite often I will have people call me to host a party, and then at times people just need some assistance and help with the planning and such. Either way I love to lend a helping hand as I love to see every party a success. There is a lot of work and things to be done with organizing any party.

Naturally at a 16^th birthday party (well the majority) there are boys and girls. Therefore it is important to pick an idea that is equally appealing to both sexes. It may be simple but quite often a disco works quite well. You can choose a theme for your disco and decorate your venue accordingly. Hire a DJ who understands the age group and is in touch with the latest music trends. Discos seem to work well with either boys or girls.

There are some 16^th birthdays that only involve the boys or the girls. In this case a good 16^th birthday party idea for girls is the good old slumber / sleepover party. It doesn’t seem to matter what age, girls always love sleepovers. This can be enhanced with music, movies, makeup stuff and munchies of course. For this kind of party less organisation is always best as they will amuse themselves quite well.

All girls love to be pampered, so why not organize a pamper party for what is a very special occasion? At a pamper party the girls will be treated to a range of sophisticated spa treatments that will make them both look and feel a “million dollars”. In contrast a 16^th birthday party idea for a boy is usually a good one if centered on some sporting event. It seems most boys are not into the sleep over parties and stuff. Taking a group of boys to a football game or even a concert is a great idea. The entertainment is provided and they typically enjoy this more than any party that can be hosted.
